Unlike short-term internships, the NTCSA 2026 intake is a national skills development initiative designed to strengthen South Africa’s electricity transmission capacity by developing scarce and critical skills in engineering, finance, project delivery, safety, environmental management, human resources, supply chain management, and artisan trades.
With South Africa’s power infrastructure undergoing significant transformation, NTCSA’s training programs play a crucial role in building a sustainable, technically skilled workforce capable of supporting the country’s energy security for decades to come.
The National Transmission Company South Africa (NTCSA) is responsible for planning, operating, and maintaining South Africa’s high-voltage electricity transmission network. As part of Eskom’s restructuring, NTCSA focuses exclusively on transmission infrastructure, ensuring grid reliability, expansion, and integration of new generation capacity, including renewable energy.
Investing in human capital is central to NTCSA’s mandate. The 2026 intake reflects the organisation’s commitment to long-term skills development aligned with national priorities and global engineering standards.
